From early childhood up to my last days of high school, Linda has been my teacher, a friend, and one of the most supportive and influential people I’ve known. Linda makes music fun and approachable for beginning students and challenges her advanced students to reach new limits. She knows just what kind of music each of her students enjoys, so students are always playing music they love while being exposed to a broad range of genres. Most importantly, Linda fosters creative and independent thought by working with students on their own compositions each year. Lessons with Linda instilled within me a love of music and composition that I expect to carry for the rest of my life.

Having Linda as a piano teacher was the most formative experience of my musical life. She is a master of piano pedagogy and swiftly and effectively guided me through the skills I needed to become an excellent musician. Additionally, by allowing students to choose their own recital pieces, Linda gave myself and others ownership and an increased passion towards our music education. Because of my work with Linda, I felt prepared and motivated to continue with music in both my personal and professional lives. I can never thank her enough.

My older daughter has been a student of Linda’s since April 2008, and my younger daughter started six months later. Under her instructions, they have both performed well enough at Certificate of Merit to play at the annual MTAC convention several times. They love going to lessons each week. Linda is passionate about music, but very down-to-earth as well. She instructs with just the right blend of humor, compassion and discipline. We count ourselves very fortunate to call her our teacher.
